Holiday concert in Hayward
December 13, 2012 by Sarah
Hayward has a number of ideas up its sleeves to encourage residents of local areas to pay a visit during this holiday season.
First up, it’s time for Christmas music at the Douglas Morrison Theatre this Saturday, December 15, 2012, with the proceedings getting underway at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $10 – $15. The theater is located at 22311 N. Third Street, Hayward.
Furthermore, a special shopping promotion is available this Saturday and Sunday for Hayward shoppers. The first 150 people to spend $150 at any retail or restaurant outlets on December 15 and 16, and who present their receipts at Hayward City Hall, will receive a reusable Hayward shopping bag filled with two movie tickets to the Downtown Hayward Theatre, a $10 gift card to the mall, a $5 gift card for Mimi’s Café and the Shark Shack, a coupon for a free gallon of milk fresh from Berkeley Farms, a book and stuffed toy from Kohl’s, and a light bulb.
Receipts must be presented to the information kiosk at Hayward City Hall, which opens at 8:00 am on Monday, December 17.
To see of 2012, tickets for the New Year’s Eve Paradise Ball at the Golden Peacock Grand Ballroom, 24989 Santa Clara St, Hayward, are available now. The event is open to both adults and children. Tickets are $55 for adults and $30 for children. The event will begin at 7:00 pm on December 31 and will feature an open bar, DJs, a dance floor, and the Indian band Sargam Orchestra.
With the year coming to a close, one idea to keep 2012 in the memory is to create a custom memory book at a local printing company by combining photos with autograph pages from New Year’s Eve events.
