On Saturday, March 17th, 2012 a “Grand Opening Reception” will be held by the Hayward Arts Council at Foothill Arts of the Bay Gallery located at 22394 Foothill Blvd, Hayward, California, and the Hayward Area Historical Society’s building located at 22701 Main Street, Hayward, California. This event starts at 1 pm and will run until 4 pm.
This promises to be a wonderful day for Hayward with one of its main galleries opening for the season. At this event you will enjoy a wide range of entertainment and treats including art, performances, refreshment and finger foods, and a hands-on project that you can choose to participate in. You will also be able to preview the new office within the new gallery.
In Foothill gallery you will be able to preview a member’s exhibition, as well as a retrospective exhibition. In the Historical Society’s building amateur artists from Tennyson High School, art classes, will have work on display. For these students this is an exciting day, so come out and support your community’s upcoming artisans.
All of these exhibitions will feature work in watercolor, acrylic, oil, pen and ink, mixed medium, and sketching. Some works are realism, some are abstract, and yet some are impressionistic, but they are all wonderful to view, so come out and support your local art community and enjoy a wonderful and entertaining day.
Print companies have prepared all the stationery printing projects so that these exhibitions will go off without a hitch. There is no admission charge and these exhibitions are open to everyone. For additional information, contact Hayward Arts Council at 510-538-2787.
