Gardena to celebrate the Fourth at Rowley Park

June 9, 2017 by

Residents in Gardena are getting excited for the city’s annual Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration. The family friendly event offers food, open space, and entertainment for all.

The flyers promise a wide array of fireworks that will begin as soon as the sky gets dark enough and will continue into the night. The pyrotechnic experts that the city has hired are putting together an even bigger show than last year, so the display is considered one of the can’t miss events in the area this Independence Day.

The park will also have a whole area devoted to food trucks selling a variety of foods from Mexican, Barbecue, Hamburgers, Pizza, and more. The park will also be opened up for families to play games, engage in sports, or simply sit on a blanket and enjoy the weather. All attendees must bring their own blankets, lawn chairs, and umbrellas if they want them.

This being a family friendly event, no alcohol will be allowed on the park grounds. Due to the danger of accidents, no smoking, grilling, or personal fireworks will be allowed either. Additionally, no pets will be allowed to participate in the event.

The Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration will be held on July 4 at Rowley Park, located at 13220 Van Ness Ave. Food Trucks open at 5:00 p.m. and fireworks will start when it’s dark enough. Admission is free to the public. Anyone looking for more info should contact the city directly.
