I Love You Because, The Musical Takes Cue From Jane Austin
April 16, 2012 by Mark
On Thursday, April 26th, the American High School Performing Arts group will be presenting “I Love You Because, the Musical” at the American High School located at 36300 Fremont Blvd. in Fremont, California. This performance will run from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.
This performance is rated as PG13, as it contains mature subject matter. Parent’s discretion is recommended. For audiences that loved Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, this performance should prove interesting. “I Love You Because…” takes Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice and applies a very modern twist to it. This version of the play is set in modern day New York City. In this version, a young and inexperienced writer’s life, the writer of greeting cards, is forever changed when he meets a lovely and young, but flighty photographer. With the encouragement of an eccentric group of siblings and friends, this young pair teaches each other how to love, even with all their faults and maybe because of their faults. The cast and crew of this modern adaptation have work extremely hard to present the audience with a play they will remember for years to come. The musical score in this play will keep the audience humming all the way home.
This play is not suitable for younger children. Print companies may have prepared the programs for this performance. The price to attend this play is $12 per person for adults and $10 per person for seniors and students.
