Fremont steps up its business game

Fremont and Milpitas residents will have the opportunity to improve their leadership skills at the 66 Leading Technical People + seminar, which will get underway tomorrow.
This seminar will take place over two days and will be giving insights into how to hire and retain top talent and bring innovation to the business. Other topics include handling resistance, giving feedback, delegating responsibility, improving communication skills, and building trust.
The session begins at 8:30 am at 951 Sandisk Drive in Milpitas, and starts again at the same time on Thursday.
The Silicon Valley Business App Awards will also be presented tomorrow in the historic Del Monte Building located at 100 South Murphy Avenue in Sunnyvale.
The awards event is designed to recognize outstanding app developers and acknowledge contributions to the app industry. The awards ceremony will begin at 2:00 pm. For more information, call (408) 661-1047.
As well as this, the Oshman Family Jewish Community Center will be the site for a discussion on mobile and commerce payments tomorrow evening. The program will explore different trends developing in the United States and Asia.
The session is focused on the fact that more and more businesses are turning towards online transactions, including the use of mobile wallets and virtual cash, and the need for increased security as a result.
