August 18, 2012 by

Seniors aged 50 and older can attend the 3rd annual Four Seasons of Health Expo Wednesday on August 29.

The expo will be held from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Fremont Multi-Service Senior Center in Fremont, California. The event is sponsored by the Human Services Department and the Tri-City Elder Coalition to help seniors stay active and healthy.

The Expo will feature health consultations and screenings, exercise tips, and how to make inexpensive healthy food. Representatives from over 100 vendors will offer information from private businesses, government agencies, not-for-profit agencies, and health organizations, including Kaiser Permanente, On Lok Lifeways, Washington Hospital, and the Palo Alto Medical Foundation.

Veterans will be able to receive information about services and programs from the Veterans Affairs Office and there will be an MIA/POW ceremony as well. Presentations will also be available on healthcare changes to the Medicare coverage, nutrition advice, and how seniors can make changes to live healthier lives.

Entertainment will be provided by local senior groups. Breakfast during the event will be $3 for members of the senior center and $3.50 for non-members. A barbecue lunch will cost $5 for members and $7 for non-members.
In some cases, a printing company can be essential during expo events of this nature, offering all types of flyers with information on events, as well as take-home materials for participants.

Transportation will be provided for participants from Central Park to the Expo and back. For more information, call Dr. Ray Grimm at (510) 574-2063.
