A range of workshops are taking place next week in the area, helping business professionals make the most of their skills and expertise.

First of all, the Tech Summit on Incentivizing Collaborative Innovation is designed to encourage input from participants on collaborative ways to pursue the advancement of development, research, and exploration in the tech field.

Participants will spend their time moving between roundtable discussions at the SETI Institute, 189 Bernardo Avenue in Mountain View, which is only about a 20-minute drive from Fremont. It begins at 9:00 am on Wednesday, October 16.

A résumé workshop will then be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 16, at SolarTech, 3081 Zanker Road in San Jose.

Top recruiters from the Bay Area will conduct a hands-on resume class and review for participants. Local companies with jobs to fill will be on hand to look at the resumes.

Registration for this one is $5 in advance or $10 at the door.

Lastly, a workshop on how to maximize solar plant production will be held at 6:00 pm on the same day at the Biltmore Hotel, 2151 Laurelwood Road in Santa Clara.

The workshop will focus on how to interpret data from the solar plants and use that information to make effective business decisions.

The presentation on virtual metering will be led by Saurabh Samdani from Cupertino Electric Inc. Registration is $30 for IEEE members and $40 for nonmembers, and this includes dinner. Digital business cards are an effective way to maintain contact with other business professionals at events like these.
