Escondido residents invited to take a drive back in time

February 5, 2017 by

Escondido car buffs may wish to save the date for the American Heritage Car Show.

The event, which is open to all vehicles made before 1974, whether they are imported, domestic, a muscle car, or a hot rod, will include something for everyone. Along with the cars, there will be a pancake breakfast, entertainment supplied by both a DJ service and live performers, and a wine and beer garden. Along with all of this, there will be awards presented in a variety of categories, and each person who comes out can have their name entered into raffle for an assortment of prizes.

The fee to make an entry in the show has been set at $25 each. There is no charge for spectators to come out and browse through the vehicles on display.

The American Heritage Car Show, which has been sponsored in part by the Escondido History Center, will be held on May 27 in Grape Day Park. Each person who pre-registers their entry before May 13 will receive a specially designed T-shirt and dash plaque for their vehicle. Graphic design can be used by the organizers of a celebration like this to create these types of customized promotional products.

Anyone who wants to find out more is asked to visit the function’s website, which also includes an opportunity to register to take part in the show.
