Dublin delves into its diversity

With vendors, booth games, and gourmet food trucks, families, and community members will enjoy an exciting day of fun. For the first time at the event, they will also have the opportunity to learn about the culture of different communities, such as Korea, Brazil, India, China, Norway, and the Philippines. Booths will have printed materials designed to teach families about the culture and popular foods in these regions, as well as educational activities, so local brochure printers may see an upturn in business.
The event will also feature Chinese dancing performances, as well as Kung Fu, and a talent show from the school’s 1st and 2nd graders. The purpose of the event is to raise funds for a computer lab at Kolb School, which will help the young students develop the technological skills that will be necessary as they advance through their education.
Both national and local companies have come together to support the school’s efforts to provide the students with this necessary advance. The SF49ers, Disneyland, and many local businesses and restaurants have donated raffle items, and tickets to upcoming games are available for purchase on Spring Jubilee day itself.
Kolb Elementary School is one of the 10 Dublin Unified Schools, and is located on 3150 Palermo Way, near Lockhart Street and Gleeson Drive, and nine minutes from Interstate 580.
This year, its event will take place on April 26 from 11:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
