The Pajama Game comes to Downey

May 29, 2012 by

On Friday, June 1, The Pajama Game will be performed at the Downey Civic Theatre located at 4835 Firestone Blvd. in Downey, California. The performance will be held at 8:00 pm.

The Pajama Game is a delightful musical comedy based on a book written by Richard Bissell and George Abbott. The music for the performance, as well as the lyrics, were written by Jerry Ross and Richard Adler but based on ”7 ½ Cents,” which was written by Bissell. This two-act play highlights the dangers of having a workplace romance, with the actors exploring the hysterical effects of the workplace romance using bright, brassy, and unconventionally fast-paced humor that will have audience members rolling in their seats. This play will captivate the guests’ imagination and have them speculating on what will happen next but it will always be the unexpected that comes to light.

The Downey Civic Light Orchestra, who will be performing the play, is now in its 56th year. This season, the orchestra will not only perform The Pajama Game, but also Singin in the Rain and other musical productions. Guests are sure to enjoy all the performances of this wonderful acting troop, as the musical renditions of the orchestra are second to none.

Brochure printing and other printing services were probably used to promote this theatres fantastic show season. Tickets to this performance are $30 per person.
