On Saturday, April 28th, Downy will be hosting its annual “Downey Street Fair” across from the Downey High School, in the grass area, located at 11040 Brookshire Avenue, in Downey, California. This is an all day event and it will begin at 10am.

The City of Downey is a generous supporter of this annual event. This event is sponsored by many businesses and thanks to the time of volunteers has been a raging success. This years event will take place in the grassy area across from the Downey High School with the Downey High School Marching Band kicking off the festivities at the opening ceremony. The Opening Ceremonies begin at 9am. This year the fair features entertainment by Flight 442, Devin Clarke, Calvary Chapel – New King James Group, Kuuip O, and Jaguar. On stage between the acts there will be Hula and Belly Dancing demonstrations. This year there are more than 200 artisans and crafters expected to attend. There will be all kinds of taste food and refreshment booths and stands, plus there is a Kid’s Zone, loaded with children’s’ activities, for the little ones to play and have fun. The Classic Car Show is being handled by SGV Car Club and this street faire has something for everyone.

Local print companies may have prepared this year’s digital flyer printing for this event. This a free event. Please remember to bring hats and sunscreen. For additional information about this event, please visit the Downey District Chamber of Commerce website or call 562-869-7301.
