First half of December full of holiday events in Dana Point

December 1, 2016 by

Starting with ‘Holiday in the Harbor’ and ending with the second weekend of the ‘Boat Parade of Lights’, Dana Point citizens and area residents have a variety of holiday-related, family-friendly activities.

Tomorrow, December 2, families can enjoy a number of free holiday activities from 4:30 – 7:30 pm at Mariner’s Alley, Mariner’s Village, and Dana Wharf, as well as holiday crafts, photos with Santa Claus, and carolers. This event, along with others this month, will likely prompt local businesses to distribute ad specialties as a promotional tool.

The rest of the first weekend in December will offer Boat Rides with Santa 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Kids can join Santa and his helpers on board at the Dana Wharf Docks for a 20-minute cruise on December 3-4.

The crowd-pleasing big event, the 42nd Annual Dana Point Harbor Boat Parade of Lights, will take place over two weekends. On December 9-10 and 16-17, attendees can enjoy the Festive Family Activities that take place 5:30 – 7:30 pm. Boating enthusiasts from all around Orange County will compete for awards as they parade their decorated vessels at 7:30 pm.

Finally, on December 10-11, children can visit pirates and mermaids while enjoying tea and sandwiches at The Ocean Institute’s Under the Sea Holiday Tea from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm at 24200 Dana Point Harbor Drive.
