Dana Point resort offers French themed Valentine’s Day dinner

February 4, 2014 by

Couples in Dana Point will have the chance to experience a little of the European capital of romance this Valentine’s Day.

Those who can’t make the trip to Europe for Valentine’s Day can enjoy the next best thing with “A Night In Paris,” at the Laguna Cliffs Marriot Resort and Spa.

The evening includes red roses, a champagne toast, and an accordion player providing the music for the restaurant. Entertainment will be provided throughout the meal by a caricature artist and a mime.

To celebrate the holiday, the restaurant will offer a four-course meal. The starter will be a frisee salad with a chamagne vinaigrette. The second course is a French onion soup. For the main course, peole can pick either filet mignon, chicken or salmon. Dessert options include Crepe Suzette, truffles, macaroons and eclairs. The restaurant can use a print company to produce menus for the special dinner.

The Valentine’s Day event finishes off with dancing. Those who don’t want to dance can enjoy the views of the Pacific Ocean from the lawn of the resort.

Reservations are required for the evening. People can contact the concierge at the Marriot to book a table or room. The price for the evening starts at $99 per person, which includes tax, tip and valet parking. Along with the Valentine’s Day dinner, the Marriott is offering a number of special packages throughout the month of February.
