Dana Point pedals into May

April 4, 2014 by

The 2014 Dana Point Grand Prix is scheduled for May 4 and promises to be an even more festive event than in previous years. Several categories of races will be held, with events geared for amateurs as well as professional racers. In addition to the races, the Cycle de Mayo Street Festival will be taking place simultaneously, providing spectators with plenty to do between races.

Once again, youth races will be free and the Dana Point Cycling Foundation, which sponsors them, provides swag bags for all participants.

Children must be registered by May 2 and there are four races divided by age. The first youth race, which is for the 9-12 age group, starts at 11:50 am on May 4 and the final youth race, for those aged four or younger, begins at 12:20 pm. All riders, children and adults alike, are required to wear cycling helmets.

The races pass through the Town Center, where multiple vendors, a beer garden, and The Kids Zone will supple plenty of entertainment. The Kids Zone is sponsored by the Capistrano Valley Boys & Girls Club and is filled with games, bike safety demonstrations, and contests, all aimed at encouraging the healthy sport of cycling among the youngsters.

By utilizing a banner printing service, excitement can be built up well ahead of an event such as this one, in addition to informing all who see it of the upcoming event.
