Christmas holiday events planned for November in Dana Point

A Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22, 2012 will benefit the Dana Point 5th Marine Regiment Support Group.

More than 10,000 participants are expected to take part in the run along the coast hosted by the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce. This will be a great event for families as the route will travel along cliffs and beaches through the Dana Point Harbor, Marina and Doheny State Park. This event is for beginners and experienced runners.

Holiday festivities will be held from 4:30 p.m. -8:00 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2012 in the Dana Point Harbor. Santa will be on site to listen to Christmas wishes, there will be holiday characters for photos, holiday crafts and more. Admission and parking are free.

Family activities will begin at Harpoon Henrys, 34555 Golden Lantern and will spread to the Harbor, Mariners Village and Alley and Dana Wharf. For more information call (949) 496-2979.

On Saturday and Sunday, December 1 and 2, 2012, 20-minute boat rides will be available with Santa from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. He will listen to Christmas wishes while parents snap photos of the moment. The cruise is free and no reservations are required by a $3 donation would be appreciated to the El Camino Real Junior Woman’s Club.
