The competition is open to both professionals and amateurs. Professionals will also be able to sell additional food items from their restaurants or catering services.
The first 200 guests will receive a goody bag. In addition to the competition, the event will also feature food samples, live entertainment, beer, and vendor booths.
The Judge’s Choice prize will be chosen by a panel of experts and includes a $250 prize. The People’s Choice prize will be chosen by the public and includes a $100 prize. The Grand Prize will be awarded to both professional and amateurs.
The deadline for contestants is August 15 and a list of the official rules and guidelines will be sent to all contestants. Public entrance to the competition is $15 in advance, $15 at the gate with a can of food, or $20 without a can. Admission also includes a ticket to a Grizzly game.
The registration fee for professionals is $250 and $85 for amateurs. This includes a 100 square foot booth with a cooking space and a place to offer samples of their barbecue.
