Kiwanis Children’s Electric Christmas Parade to be held in Old Town Clovis

Old Town Clovis is the location for the annual Kiwanis Children’s Electric Christmas parade this evening, December 1.
The parade begins at 6:30 pm at 456 Clovis Avenue, Clovis. There will be decorated and lit floats, marching bands, car clubs, equestrian groups, and children’s groups. For more information on what is going on here, call (559) 916-9124.
Earlier on today, free horse drawn carriage rides with Santa Claus will be available on from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm through Old Town Clovis. For more information call (559) 298-5774. For those who cannot make it today, carriage rides will also be available every Saturday up until Christmas Day.
Moving into next week, the official Christmas tree lighting ceremony will take place at 6:30 pm on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Clovis City Hall, 1033 5th Street. Live entertainment will be provided by the Clark Intermediate and Clovis High School choirs. Refreshments will be available.
Kids will enjoy breakfast with Santa from 8:00 am – 10:00 am next Saturday, December 8, in the Sierra Vista Mall, 1200 Shaw Avenue. Every kid will enjoy a free gift for as long as they are available. Tickets are only $5 for adults, $3 for children aged three and older, and free for those aged two and younger. Tickets are on sale at the customer service booth.
Keeping things charitable this Christmas, the Real Goods Solar Holiday food drive will be held through December 15. Donors will receive 10% off their store purchase with the donation of five cans of non-perishable food items.
With so much going on, flyer printing will no doubt be needed to keep Clovis folk up-to-date on upcoming holiday events.
