Clovis to host Big Hat Days
March 18, 2012 by Mark
On Saturday, April 14th and Sunday, April 15th, 2012 the Clovis Chamber of Commerce will be hosting “Big Hat Days” in Old Town Clovis. The event will run Saturday from 9am to 6pm and Sunday from 9am to 5pm.
This is the 74th annual Big Hat Days event taking place in Old Town Clovis and families are invited to come down and share in the fun. This event takes place between 3rd Street and 8th Street and is sponsored by the Table Mountain Casino, which hosts one of the largest craft shows in the California central region. This festival includes a wide variety of music, a number of art and craft exhibitors, a worldly food fair with a vast selection of international cuisine, a beer garden, little tikes pony rides, a family carnival and so much more. This event regularly draws around 140,000 visitors and is home to more than 400 craft vendors. Due to the name of the event, all attendees are asked to wear a hat – the bigger the better. This festival is a traditional event and most participants return year after year to enjoy a good time. Besides the food court, participants will be able to visit the numerous shops in the area.
Print companies appear to have been busy with flyer printing and banner printing with so many spectators attending each year. This event is free to all, but pets are not welcome. For additional information about this event, or to register as a vendor, please call the Clovis Chamber of Commerce’s office at 559-299-7363.
