Downtown StartUps to hold first meeting
June 1, 2012 by Sarah
Burbank professionals have a fair amount of options at their disposal with both a “Nonprofit Management Information Session” and a new networking group for entrepreneurs holding its first ever official meeting.
Business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs who are in search of a good support network may be able to find what they’re looking for in the upcoming Downtown StartUps meeting. Having originally started through the Internet, this group’s first get-together is being held June 7 at 6:30 pm. With the event being promoted under the subtitle “Pitch, Entertain, Network” (P.E.N.), it’s also worth pointing out that the networking opportunities are nothing short of impressive in this instance. Whether looking for investors or simply aiming to make a few new friends, this is the place to do it. With printing companies offering business card printing at reasonable prices, the benefits become all the more tangible.
Later in the month, California State University will be giving people a chance to find out what its Nonprofit Sector Management program is all about. Featuring a full six courses, touching upon such topics as human resources, planning, and administration, it is clear that this graduate certificate has been designed to suit the needs of professionals who are based in the non-profit sector. Expected to last for about an hour on June 26 with a start time of 6:00 pm, this session will ensure that prospective students are able to better understand the curriculum.
Where current and future opportunities are concerned, there’s no denying that these are two events from which business owners and other professionals stand to gain.
