Classic cars to cruise the streets of Downtown Burbank

In July 2013, more than 200 classic cars will parade the streets of Downtown Burbank, taking part in the second yearly Car Classic.

Some of the most outstanding vehicles in the area will cruise along San Fernando Boulevard and adjacent streets, admired by visitors arriving at the event. Among the vehicles will be cars registered before 1974, restored classic cars, exotic cars, bikes, and hot rods. The event is likely to boost the local economy, serving more than 300 shops, businesses, and restaurants, while local print companies may be asked to provide poster printing services to promote the annual show.

As Downtown Burbank has a strong connection to the entertainment industry, the highlight of the event will be cars with a Hollywood background; perhaps belonging to a celebrity or appearing in a movie.

The Car Classic will take place on July 27 and is free of charge to the public. In addition to the automotive show itself, there will be family entertainment including street painters and interactive activities for children, vendor booths relevant to the them, and music. Sponsorship is provided by Downtown Burbank Partnership, which is a non-profit organization and has organized the event to be held on four blocks.

Downtown Burbank is recognized for its outstanding street scene and outdoor dining. Located at the center of the entertainment industry, the area boasts an IKEA and Urban Outfitters among other well-known stores. For those who want to get an early taster on the eve of the event, a Car Classic preview will be held on July 26 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
