Workshops available to bolster business performance

Those businesses affected by California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) requirements will be able to ask questions and receive answers at the workshop offered by the Los Angeles County Fire Department later this month
Effective January 1, 2013 all local governments and regulated businesses were required by Assembly Bill 2286 to send their reports electronically. This session addresses how to report facility information, create an account, and enter inventory.
Participants should bring their own computer with Wi-Fi access. Class materials can be printed with the assistance of a local printing company.
The following day, through the use of interactive discussions, teamwork, and exercises, business owners will learn the best way to use the program Scrum to work with a team.
At the end of two days, business owners will receive certification in the Scrum framework. The course will feature instruction on processes for product backlogs, tracking, and reporting progress, how to participate in planning meetings and tools to use to prioritize.
The workshop will begin at 9:00 am on Thursday, October 10, at Embassy Suites, 3100 East Frontera Street in Anaheim.
Registration includes a two-year Scrum Alliance membership. A tenth of the registration fee will be donated to a charity chosen by the class. Business card printing makes it easy to stay in contact with business owners and professionals after meet-ups like this.
