Brea art gallery to feature ‘pint sized’ exhibit
June 14, 2012 by Mark
Brea Art Gallery is thinking small for its latest display.
Their newest exhibit features the kinds of small items which fascinate viewers, such as glass paintings, miniature sculptures, ceramics, jewelry, and photography. These compact masterpieces will best be viewed with a magnifying glass. The exhibit opened on June 2 and will be on display until July 13.
Brea residents inspired by the exhibit can learn art techniques in three-day classes offered by the gallery in a broad variety of arts, ranging from mosaics to oil-painting. Classes are also available for kids in the techniques of origami, pastels, watercolor, and oil painting. Classes for adults are held 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Children’s workshops are held from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm on Sunday afternoons for ages 5 – 13.
The 6,000 square foot gallery offers a variety of exhibitions from artists around the globe. For those who want to take artwork home with them, the gift store offers a selection of hand crafted items for sale from local artists. The gallery is also available for rentals and accommodates up to 450 standing guests or 200 diners.
Speaking of media, flyer printing is a wonderful way to promote art events and workshops such as these. The Brea Art Gallery is located at 1 Civic Center Circle, Brea, CA. Gallery hours are 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm Wednesday – Sunday. Admission is $2 and children aged 11 or younger and Brea residents are free. For more information, contact the gallery at (714) 990-7730.
