Cowboys and acrobats to entertain residents

Two events are taking place during the first weekend of November for people who enjoy fast-paced, stunt-performing entertainment.

To start with, the Professional Bull Riders: Touring Pro Division is taking place on November 2 at the Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield.

A stepping stone to the Built Ford Tough Series, this competition measures the competitive spirit of the cowboys as they compete in bull riding and other challenging events.

The competition awards a $1m bonus to the world champion each year. Tickets are priced $17 to $62, and the event begins at 7:30 pm in the Rabobank Arena located at 1001 Truxton Way in Bakersfield.

Daring feats of another kind can be seen when the Golden Dragon Acrobats appear at the same location on Sunday, November 3.

These graceful Chinese artists will perform feats that defy gravity. Debuting on Broadway in 2005, the acrobats have received critical acclaim from the New York press and audiences.

They have gone on to perform in all fifty states and more than 65 countries; frequently to sold out audiences.

Bill Fisher, Executive Director of the Alberta Bair Theater in Billings, Montana, is quoted as saying:

“In my twenty years of presenting, I have presented in my venues at least six different acrobatic troupes. The Golden Dragon Acrobats were by far the easiest to work with and highest quality I have seen so far.”

Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for students. For more information call (661) 852-7777. Rodeos and acrobats often use banner printing to let audience members know who their sponsors are during events.
