The Laguna Dance Festival gets underway tomorrow at the Laguna Playhouse located at 606 Laguna Canyon Road, just a short drive from Anaheim. Offering art galleries, excellent dance upon a theater stage, and top-quality performances, the dance festival will give patrons an up-close feeling while the performance is in progress. This will continue after the show with an intimate setting for meeting the dancers at the VIP reception that follows.

The festival begins with an Artwalk tomorrow, September 6, with selected galleries participating. One of Orange County’s favorite dance companies, Backhausdance, will be performing on September 7 with emotive dancers that are highly skilled. Hallmarks of the contemporary modern company include the dynamic and bold choreography being led by Jennifer Backhaus, who is the artistic director. Hubbard Street and LINES Ballet will perform on September 8 at 7:30 pm and again on September 9 at 2:00 pm, while the VIP party will be on September 8, beginning at 9:00 pm, and will cost $75 to attend.

Other notable companies that have performed in the Laguna Dance Festival include The Parsons Dance Company, Trey McIntyre Project, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, and Hubbard Street 2. The most exciting talents are showcased in the festival.

Print companies can be expected to have completed flyer printing and could possibly be in charge of printing the evening materials, like tickets and the playbill. Seats in the balcony and on orchestra sides cost $50 and can be ordered online at the Laguna Playhouse website. Additional details about the ballet performers can be found there as well.
