Canyon High School band holds e-cycling event

January 7, 2013 by

The marching band at Canyon High School in Anaheim will be holding an e-cycling collection event on Saturday, January 12 and Sunday, January 13. This is an opportunity for many in the community to clear out old, unused electronics and make room for newer ones that may have been received over the holidays or picked up in the post-Christmas sales.

Band boosters from the school will be collecting electronic recyclables from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on both days in the Canyon High School upper parking lot. Community members in and around Anaheim are invited to drop off any used and unwanted electronic items or other broken recyclables.

Events and services conducted by area groups and organizations may use local print companies to help get the word out to the community. Flyer printing and poster printing are both great ways to let people in the area know about a particular event or activity.

Proceeds from the e-cycling collection event will go to help the Canyon High School’s orchestra, band, color guards, and drum line. Money raised from the e-cycling event will help with the purchase of new instruments, equipment, uniforms, and other necessary items.

Businesses in the Anaheim area that are unable to make a drop off or have larger items that need to be picked up should contact the band boosters via email. For more information about the e-cycling program, or to view a list of acceptable recyclable items, please visit the Canyon Regiment website.
