Popular run races back to Virginia Beach

The Norfolk Southern Surf-n-Santa 10 Miler is taking place in Virginia Beach this weekend. The event is expected to attract over 5,500 participants.

In addition to the 10-mile run, there will also be a Frosty’s 5K and a Rudolph’s 1K for those aged 12 and under. All participants in all three races will receive a free Santa hat and everyone who completes will receive a medal.

The day before the run, runners can pick up their packets at the Virginia Beach Convention Center’s Sports and Fitness Expo, which will feature a variety of vendors, including those selling equipment and those providing services to athletes.

On the day of the run itself, there will be plenty of activities after participants reach the finish line. These include a holiday party, the Naughty or Nice Costume Contests, and musical entertainment.

For large events such as this in the area, organizers often contact Virginia Beach printing companies to help them prepare. This may include receiving products such as posters and flyers for advertising, and banners for the finish lines of the races.

The Sports and Fitness Expo will be held on December 6 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm, while the Surf-n-Santa 10 Miler will begin with registration at the Convention Center at 6:30 am. The other activities will run from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm.

Fees for the big race are $75 per person, and are set at $45 for Frosty’s 5K and $20 for Rudolph’s 1K. For more information about the expo or the races, call 757-412-1056.
