The Yuengling Shamrock Marathon Weekend is taking place in Virginia Beach this weekend.
The event will start off with a two-day sports and fitness expo. This will be where runners taking part in the marathon will pick up their race packages. The expo is set to feature a speaker series, giving their views on such topics as ‘Stretching for athletes’, ‘The joy of running’ and ‘Motivating co-workers and employees to beat the boss’. Vendors will also be on hand to promote and sell their products and services.
There will be a series of races taking place during the Sunday for participants of all ages and abilities. This includes the Whale or Dolphin challenges and the Anthem Shamrock Half Marathon. Walkers are also welcome to take part.
Race day will be Sunday and there will be a series of post-race parties featuring live entertainment, beer, and Irish stew.
Organizers of the event may have already contacted Virginia Beach banner printing companies to provide them with start and finish line banners. Banners are often also used to recognize sponsors of such events throughout the route.
All this is being held from March 14 to 16, with the two-day sports and fitness expo taking place at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. To find out more information about the weekend, call 757-412-1056.
