Two-day scrapbooking crop to make its mark in Vienna
September 28, 2012 by Mark
The Vienna Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will soon be sponsoring a scrapbooking weekend. This is a fundraiser for the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department.
The admission price will include a cropping space, lunch on one of the days, coffee, tea, and lemonade. Croppers are expected to bring their own supplies, although there will be vendors in attendance selling cropping materials. No doubt some of the supplies will have been created by Vienna stationery printers, with specialty papers and card stock likely to be available. Other scrapbooking supplies that may be available for purchase will include ribbons, rubber stamps, stickers, labels, stencils, embellishments, ink, fiber, hole-punches, and markers.
Scrapbooking is a very popular pastime that shows no sign of slowing down. There are literally thousands of scrapbooking stores in the United States which supply all the necessary materials to create collections, which are then used to highlight events in the lives of those who put them together. Tickets for the scrapbooking fun are $55 and dinner can be purchased for $7 each day or $13 for both days. For more information contact Lisa Emerson at 703-981-4504.
The Vienna Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary holds several fundraising events each year. One other upcoming event is an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner that will be held tomorrow, September 29, from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Tickets are $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, and $5 for children aged 4-12. Baked goods and coffee will also be available. The Auxiliary will also be selling copies of their cookbook for $10 each.
