New Year’s Eve in Vienna is a place to celebrate

For a lot of people, New Year’s Eve is the most important social occasion of the year and many cities now have First Night events, which are family-friendly and are alcohol free. Many more, like Vienna, hold events for children earlier in the day and separate celebrations for adults closer to midnight.

The 6th annual Rocknoceros New Year’s Eve party will take place at Jammin’ Java on December 31, beginning at 11:00 am. The party will include entertainment from the band Rocknoceros, a countdown, and an apple juice toast. Tickets are $10 per person for what promises to be a long and memorable occasion.

Later on in the evening, Jammin’ Java, will also be hosting a late night concert for adults starting at 8:00 pm. It will feature a cocktail hour, an SNRG T-shirt, appetizers, and a champagne toast. SNRG is a local artists’ collective. Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door. There is a VIP ticket for $40 which will give the ticket holder a guaranteed table and a dedicated waitress. Party-goers can also purchase a bar package for $35.

Both events will most likely also provide party favors for guests, such as paper hats and noise makers. Organizers might also possibly be working with Vienna printing companies to design and print colorful banners for decoration or flyers to post throughout the community before New Year’s Eve. Stationery printers may also be consulted for artifacts like invitations and cocktail menus.
