The ViennaTysons Regional Chamber of Commerce will be presenting the latest seminar in their Leadership Development Seminar Series on January 27, 2012. The seminar is part of the Executive Level Leadership Development Program and takes place at the Tower Club from 7:30-9:30 am. Each seminar costs $59 for chamber members and $69 for non-members; a buffet breakfast is included.
“Taking Your Team to the Next Level” is the fourth of six seminars. It, like all the others, will be presented by David MacGillvray of Home Capital Advisors and Alan L. Rodda of Leadership Solutions. This instalment will teach you how to create a culture of engagement with your employees, how to nurture communication with your team and how to mentor those who have innovative ideas. Future seminars in the series will be “Avoiding Executive Derailment” and “Steering your Marketing and Sales into the Internet Age.”
Leadership is often a hard thing to define. Just because you are a business owner, does not mean you are a leader. You need to be able to excite and motivate your workers in order to get the best out of them. There are many ways employers try to motivate their workers. Many create “employee of the month awards” which consist of a certificate given to those who go above and beyond in their job performance. Printing companies located in Vienna and other cities can create certificates that are suitable for framing. Your employees will appreciate the gesture.
