The Mayor’s Senior Spring Prom will take place at the Landmark Theater on May 3 from 8-11 pm. Tickets are $32 for a table of 10 or $4 per person. Dress is formal attire and masks are recommended.
The Senior Spring Prom is an evening out for those 55 and over. This year’s theme will be the amazing costumes, colors and music of the famed New Orleans Mardi Gras. Delicious appetizers will be provided, or alternatively, guests can bring their own. The evening is expected to be just like a school prom, complete with dancing. Prizes will be awarded for the most creative masks. Richmond printing companies are on hand to provide their expertise in publicizing any prom or dance They will probably also be providing the organizers of this event with the necessary decorations, posters and banners which will help to make this a memorable event for all.
Often it is hard for those over 55 to make new friends, or their health takes a turn for the worse and they don’t have the social life they once had. There seem to be less and less places to meet people the older one gets. If they are single or widowed, they might end up becoming shut-ins and avoiding people. Many social clubs for singles seems to be only for those in their 20s and 30s and a person over 50 will often feel lost and ignored. This yearly event provides Richmond seniors with a safe and enjoyable event.
