Norfolk warms up for long-running festival
May 30, 2013 by James
The Norfolk Harborfest is celebrating its 37th annual AT&T sponsored festival. Spanning four jam-packed days, it turns the downtown waterfront into an interesting playground for families and people of all ages.
Guests will enjoy the traditional Harbor Feast, which is a seafood sampler that continues throughout the friendly family event. There will be all types of land and sea activities, including the participation of tall ships in the Parade of Sail, and national, regional, and local entertainment, some unusual and extremely unique performances, many family activities, and a number of great water sports and activities.
This weekend event is packed with action and excitement for everyone, not to mention the scrumptious fresh seafood. This event features a long line-up of entertainment and activities, so it is worth visiting the website to see the times and places at which the activities will be happening. Parking for this event costs $5 and there are three garages available.
Admission to this event is free for everyone, and it will be taking place from Thursday, June 6 to Sunday, June 9 at the Town Point Park along the waterfront in Norfolk’s downtown.
