A family friendly event designed to provide entertainment and activities for celebrating Independence Day in Norfolk is on the way.

The AT&T Fourth of July Great American Picnic has reached its 31st year and has many fun activities planned. Poster printing, banner printing, and other printing service may have been used to bring the Great American Picnic to people in this community and the surrounding districts and towns.

This is an evening event that will feature entertainment, food, and fireworks, and is sponsored by AT&T, Budweiser, the City of Norfolk, Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge/RAM/Fiat, CFE Equipment Corporation, Sprit of Norfolk, Norfolk Waterside Marriott, and Norfolk Plumbing. Guests will enjoy the prepared barbecued foods, which include buttered corn on the cob, seafood, hamburgers, and hotdogs, as well as temptingly juicy watermelon and lemonade for dessert.

After eating, guest will sit back and watch as a fabulous fireworks display illuminates the evening sky. This is produced by the Port of Virginia and Norfolk Festevents. Families are reminded to dress for the weather and might want to consider bringing a camera to capture some great shots. Performing during the evening will be the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command Band.

The festivities will be taking place on July 4 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Town Point Park located on Waterside Drive in Norfolk, Virginia. To learn more about the schedule of free events, please visit the Festevents website or call the Town of Norfolk offices during business hours.
