Festival brings New Orleans to Virginia

The 28th annual Bayou Boogaloo Music and Cajun Food Festival is taking place in Norfolk next month for three days, presented by The Arts Council of New Orleans and Norfolk Festevents.

The New Orleans-inspired festival is set to offer authentic foods to enjoy, as well as beer. Foods available for sale are likely to include traditional Cajun dishes like gumbo, jambalaya, and crawfish. Musical entertainment will be provided by such artists as Kermit Ruffins and the BBQ Swingers, Bonerama, the New Breed Brass Band, and Terrance Simon and the Zydeco Experience.

Another large part of the festival will be the Arts Market of New Orleans, where local and national artisans will be selling items like handmade jewelry, sculpture, ceramics, and paintings. General merchandise and food vendors will also be on hand.

Sponsorships are available for purchase to ensure this event continues into the future. To advertise popular events like this in Norfolk, organizers often invest in poster printing services from local print companies.

The festival will be held at Town Point Park from June 23 to 25 from 12:00 to 10:00 pm each day. Tickets are $15 each day or $30 for a three-day pass. VIP tickets are $75 per day or $40 on Sunday, while a three-day pass is $125. For more information about this event, contact Festevents at 757-441-2345.
