The Hampton Roads Sports Awards gala is taking place next month in Norfolk, presented by the Hampton Roads Sports Commission.

The evening will start off with a reception featuring a cash bar, followed by dinner and the awards presentations. There will also be a keynote speech by Bobby Wilder, who is the head coach of the Old Dominion University Football team.

There are a number of awards that will be handed out during the evening. They include Best Sports League or Organization, Hometown Hero, Best Local Sportscaster, and Best Sports Facility.

Local vendors will also be on hand to showcase their products and services. Sponsorships are available for $250 (which is the fee for a vendor table) or up to $2,500. Sponsors will be recognized at the event and on print advertising.

This is sure to be a useful networking opportunity for those involved in the sports industry in any way. It is likely that some of those planning to attend will be placing a new business card printing order with their favorite Norfolk print company.

The Hampton Roads Sports Awards gala will be held at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel on May 17 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Tickets are $50 each, $350 for eight, or $175 for four. Contact Sara De Gruttola at 757-664-2573 for more information.
