Think outside the box in McLean
February 22, 2012 by Mark
The Outside the Box – Making Connections and 2012 Board Installation will take place at Gannett Co., Inc. on March 2 from 6:30-10 pm. It is a presentation of the Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are $75 for Chamber members and $95 for non-members. Table sponsorships are available for $1000 and bar sponsorships are $500.
The evening will feature a keynote address, the installation of the Chamber board, guest bartenders, food, dancing, an auction, a raffle and music from the McLean Orchestra. It will be an excellent networking opportunity, so don’t forget to arrange for a new business card printing order in advance. While this is partly a social event, those in attendance will be very willing to talk about business with each other. Make sure you let them know what you can do for them while you hand them your business card.
A chamber of commerce function is the perfect way to be introduced to your fellow local business leaders and owners. Most successful companies in a town or city belong to the local chamber of commerce. Having the opportunity to learn from these business leaders is something that cannot be underestimated. You will get your chamber membership fees back in business and in training in no time if you take advantages of all they have to offer.
Most chambers of commerce offer discounts on business services, provide seminars for free or for a very low cost, give you a voice in dealing with local and state governments and help you to grow your referral network.
