Suits and Sneakers event will honor business and community leaders

The 4th annual Suits and Sneakers will take place this October in McLean. The event is hosted by the Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce, and usually attracts about 250 attendees.

It will be a combination of a trade show and an awards presentation. The Business and Community Awards will be handed out during the evening, which include recognition of the Non-profit of the Year, Corporate Partner, Retailer of the Year, Community Volunteers of the Year, Community Impact Award, New Business of the Year, and Hometown Hero.

Both Chamber and non-chamber members can rent tables at the event to showcase their products and services. Fees are $150 for members, $200 for non-members, and $100 for restaurants providing food. Sponsorships are also available from $1,000 – $5,000, and sponsors will be recognized in advertising materials and in the event program. A pre-party will be held for them as well.

In addition to the awards, guests will enjoy food samples and wine and beer tastings. It will also represent a networking opportunity for all McLean businesses and the general public, so digital business cards will no doubt be at the ready.

It is likely that McLean brochure printers have been asked to help design and print the evening’s program. Exhibitors might also avail themselves of such services as sign and banner printing.

The Suits and Sneakers event will take place at Claude Moore Colonial Farm on October 1 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Tickets are $75 for Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce members and $95 for non-members. For more information, call Marcia Twomey at 703-356-5424.
