Golf season in swing in Fairfax County

June 26, 2013 by

Now that summer is here, everyone is no doubt ready to get back onto the golf course. There are two upcoming events in Fairfax County this July that will help get the kinks out.

The 2013 Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic is taking place on the 2nd weekend of July. Fees will include golf, cards, breakfast, and an awards luncheon. It will be an excellent opportunity for both chamber members and non-members to network over a friendly game of golf.

The Lions Club Charity Golf Tournament will take place later in the month and will raise funds for the Fairfax Partnership for Youth. The tournament is presented by the Falls Church Chamber of Commerce and fees will include a box lunch, prizes and an awards dinner.

Both of these events will be excellent networking opportunities for local businesspersons. Many of those business people from the Falls Church and McLean who are planning to attend either tournament might be investing in a new business card printing order in advance so they will have plenty of cards to hand out.

The Greater McLean Golf Classic will take place at the River Creek Club on July 8. Fees are $250 per person or $900 for a foursome. For more information, call 517-207-9131.

The 9th annual Lions Club tournament will take place at the 1757 Golf Club on July 22 beginning at 2:00 pm. Fees are $150 per individual and $600 for a foursome. Call 703-532-1050 to learn more.
