Cars motor up for cancer research
August 15, 2013 by James
Carz Cruizen to Cure Cancer is taking place in Potomac Falls this September. The event takes the form of a fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
The show will feature antique and collectible cars, custom vehicles, trucks, and motorcycles. The entry fee for vehicles is $25 and all registrants will receive a dash plaque and a food ticket. The first 50 who register will receive a copy of the Hagerty Price Guide as well. The deadline to register is September 19, and all of the vehicles will be judged by professionals before awards are given for various categories.
The general public will also be eligible for door prizes and will be able to purchase raffle tickets. Attendees can enjoy brunch or lunch for a suggested donation of $10. Local businesses and community groups will be setting up information booths, making for what should be an appealing event to those who love cars and are interested in seeing what others have done with their vehicles.
Sponsorships are available from $50 to $1,000. Local businesses will also be able to donate raffle and door prizes.
This event will more than likely attract people from all over the area, including nearby McLean. Printing companies will probably be helping to provide marketing materials such as flyers to help spread the word.
Carz Cruizen to Cure Cancer will take place at the McLean Insurance Agency on September 22 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. Admission is free. For more information, to register, or to become a sponsor, call Karen Cifala at 703-790-5770.
