Celebrate the Best of Henrico County
April 25, 2012 by Mark
The Henrico Business Council of the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce is presenting a networking breakfast at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital on May 2 from 7:15-9 am. Admission is free for members of the chamber and those planning to join the chamber.
In addition to being an excellent networking opportunity, the May breakfast is usually when the Henrico Annual Awards are presented. These awards are for Business Leader of the Year and Community Leader of the Year. The Community Leader of the Year is presented to someone who has proved their “dedication to the betterment and/or growth of Henrico County.” Those nominated for both awards can be government workers, public officials and county residents from towns such as Glen Allen.
Networking events are important to all business leaders. Printing companies can help them to get the work out by providing them with business cards, flyers, brochures and other promotional products that can be handed out at these events.
There will also be a helpful seminar presented by the Henrico Department of Economic Authority the day before the breakfast. “Five Practical Tips for Growing Your Business” will take place on May 1 from 11:30 am-1:30 pm. Tickets are $20. Those who attend will find out how to build their credibility, how to make their business more visible, how to engage customers and how to drive traffic to their websites.
Both of these events will help business leaders to become successful and be able to sustain their business through example and through growing their referral network.
