Celebrate Easter in Ruther Glen
March 23, 2012 by Sarah
The Caroline County Chamber of Commerce is presenting the Adult Easter Eggstravaganza fundraiser at the Caroline County Fairgrounds on April 6 from 7-11pm. Tickets are $20 in advance and these include an egg hunt and a beer. This is an 18s and over event and tickets are limited to 500. It is recommended you wear closed toe shoes and bring a flashlight.
There will be lots of fun to be had at the Eggstravaganza; there will be games, an egg hunt, a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, dancing, and an Easter bonnet contest. Beverages will be available to purchase. Prizes will include a $500 cash prize and two 32” flat screen TVs. Local businesses and Caroline County Chamber of Commerce members will be donating the prizes.
People from all over the county and nearby towns, such as Glen Allen, will want to attend this fun Easter event. Those who plan to take part in the Easter bonnet contest can make their own decorations and fancy up a bonnet, they can decorate it with a banner; printing one of their own designs from their home computer or arranging with a local printing company to help them create an outstanding banner. It really depends on how creative they are as to whether they’ll need professional help or not. Alternatively, they can decorate the bonnet with spring flowers; there really is no limit to the possibilities.
The event will also be a celebration of the beginning of spring; everyone is happy that winter is almost over and it’s time to get out of the house and party.
