Annual Earth Day celebration returns to area

March 22, 2014 by

The 4th annual Down to Earth Celebration is returning to Hanover this April. It is a presentation of the Hanover Association of Businesses and Chamber of Commerce.

Those who choose to attend the celebration will be able to find out information from local environmental and community organizations, attend seminars, and shop for environmentally friendly merchandise.

There are also set to be a variety of children’s activities taking place, such as a scavenger hunt, dumpster painting, and a nature walk. It will be a good opportunity to teach the children about Earth Day and about what individuals can do to look after their personal environment.

Vendors can rent space at the event for $75 to $110. Sponsorships are also available for $250 and $500.

This annual event is likely to attract visitors from all over the area, including nearby Ashland. Local printing companies are sometimes asked by organizers of such events to provide advertising materials such as posters and flyers. These items can then be distributed throughout the community in a variety of ways that do not add any more cost for the distributor.

The Down to Earth Celebration is taking place at the Bass Pro Shop on April 27 from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Admission is free. To find out more about the event, or to become a vendor, contact Melissa at 804-798-8130.
