Arlington has spoken on the best businesses
November 20, 2012 by James
Arlington Economic Development (AED) will be announcing which businesses have been chosen by the people as arlington’s best. The 2012 People’s Choice ABBIE Awards will be announced at the Arlington County Board meeting on November 27.
The awards were voted upon by the general public and include such titles as Arlington’s Best: “Bargain” Restaurant, Place to Work Out, Boutique, Coffee Shop, Best Place for Arts and Culture, Customer Service, Pizza, and Social media/Online Presence by a Business. Five nominees in each category were chosen and the public voted on their favorite of the five. Winners of the award are mentioned on the AED website, in various print ads, in the Arlington County Visitor’s Guide and Map, and in TV advertisements. No doubt winning this is a big honor for any local business.
Awards such as these help other businesses to understand what the public considers to be quality and to help them strive to become the type of business that the people of Arlington want. Winning such an award would also be a perfect marketing opportunity for any Arlington company. A winner might want to work with local printing companies to inform the community of this honor and to help gain a larger customer base. Flyer printing services could provide a flyer that could be mailed to every household in Arlington letting them know about the ABBIE awards and what the company can offer to the community.
Stay tuned to the Shop Arlington website and its Facebook page to find out which businesses have claimed this year’s awards.
