Alexandria bigs up its business bests

November 7, 2012 by

The 2012 Business Awards reception, presented by the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, will take place at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center in just under a week’s time. At least 300 people are expected to attend.

The main event, needless to say, will be the presentation of six business awards. The winner of Business Leader of the Year has already been announced as Chef Cathal Armstrong of the Eat Good Food Group. Other awards include Business of the Year, with environmental contributions recognized as well.

The awards will be a good opportunity for Alexandria businesspeople to honor their peers and to learn from their example. Those attending are also likely to want to arrange for a new business card printing order in advance. Exchanging cards with the winners, as well as with their other business peers in attendance, can only help business professionals in the area to expand their networks.

These types of awards are given to companies and individuals who have shown excellence in how they do their jobs and have gone out of their way to help improve the community in which they live and work.

Sponsorships are available for the event from $750 – $5,000. Sponsors will be mentioned in all advertising materials, will be allowed to have an advertisement in the program guide, and will be mentioned at the event.

The awards event is due to take place on November 13 from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Tickets are $100 for chamber members and $150 for non-members. For more information, please call 703-549-1000.
