Wilmington seniors to get into shape
November 29, 2013 by Max
The Kick Start Cardio is a seniors’ cardio class designed to get people up and moving, while enjoying some great time with friends. An aerobics session catered to older people, the instructor and the center probably used a variety of printing services to notify people in this community about this heart-healthy class.
The instructor for the course is Mary Ellen Luise, who has years of experience working with the elderly and has organized this class to be a ‘get up and go’ aerobic experience, with an emphasis on being good for the heart, safe, and, above all, fun.
As part of this session, guests will be taught simple-to-follow movements that are low impact, movements to increase upper body strength, and exercises that work on abdominal conditioning. There will be stretching exercises prior to the aerobic workout, with several relaxation techniques run through after the workout, all of which will assist in energizing an active lifestyle.
This class is free to all Claymore Senior Center residents, and everyone is welcome to attend. The Kick Start Cardio class will take place on Tuesday, December 3, beginning at 9:00 am at the Claymore Senior Center located at 504 South Clayton Street in Wilmington, Delaware.
The centre offers a range of programs that promote physical, social, and recreational well-being to its members. For additional information on this class, or any of the other programs operated by the center, please visit the Claymore Senior Center website or call its office during business hours.
