Colorful fall ahead for babies and parents
October 24, 2013 by Sarah
Beginning next week at Brandywine Zoo is the fall schedule of the ‘Baby & Me’ Program – an ongoing event with new and interesting programming every two weeks.
Aimed at children between the ages of 6 and 18 months and their parents, it is more than likely to be a source of printed informational literature aimed at guardians of young children, so print companies may well have been kept busy during the week.
The series is designed to be both fun and educational for babies, offering hands-on learning activities and exploration through sensory perception. The program fosters early exploration and appreciation of the natural world that surrounds the babies, and color exploration is the focus of this event.
Early registration is strongly suggested due to limited space, but walk-ins are accepted if space is available. Participating babies and their parents will have the opportunity to meet one another and learn about the color and natural surroundings available to them in the area. Grandparents are welcome with the children, and parents are encouraged to bring their cameras to capture the fun.
The session on October 29 will focus on the color black, while the two sessions that follow it in November will explore blue and yellow.
Admission is $7 for adults and seniors and $8 per child, and it takes place at the Brandywine Zoo located at 1001 North Park Drive in Wilmington, Delaware. To purchase tickets, or to learn more about the Baby and Me Program, visit the Brandywine Zoo website or call the office at 302-571-7850 during normal business hours.
