Books to be bountiful at Wilmington sale

The 45th Annual Dollars for Scholars Book Sale is the area’s biggest sale of pre-owned books. Taking place every year, it gets underway today and is a fundraising event that assists Delaware women with college scholarships. Poster printing may have been used by the organizers to promote this fundraiser to people in this community, as well as throughout the surrounding regions.

The large book sale is being presented by the American Association of University Women, Wilmington branch. This year, the books and items will be available to select from 50 different tables and will cost either $1 or $5 per item, will some collectibles also available at $100 each.

The tables will be spread throughout the shopping mall and will also include ephemera, a selection of puzzles, some sheet music, a variety of records, VHS tapes and CDs, and number of DVDs. This sale runs 10:00 am to 9:30 pm daily, except at the weekend when the hours are Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. On Sundays, a bag of books will cost $10.

There is no charge to attend the sale, which will take place from today until Friday, March 14, at the hours listed above.
