The Comedy of Eddie Izzard

April 11, 2012 by

On Friday, April 20th, the UAA Concert Board will be presenting Eddie Izzard, a stand-up comedic performance, at the UAA Wendy Williamson Auditorium located at 2533 Providence Drive in Anchorage, Alaska. This performance will begin at 7:30pm.

Eddie Izzard has been a comedy central figure since back in the early 90s. With him comes outright laughter. He is legendary and has been tickling audiences worldwide for many years. His outrageous narratives and absurd thoughts will have the audience rolling in their seats. Eddie enjoys doing surreal things when performing, things the crowd doesn’t expect and it seems to work really well for him. This British comedian can find humor in any situation, so don’t be surprised if he touches on historical politics, sexual politics, or religious politics. He loves to laugh about Hitler, Romans, and Stonehenge.

Eddie’s storytelling is often pop culture, or historical based, but it always leaves the audience with their sides aching. He has a tendency to perform in women’s clothing, plus he has a video version of one of his various acts “Stripped and Dressed to kill” win an Emmy, and he has acted in a FX television series, called “The Riches”.

Bus and motor coach parking is available. Reservations are required for this event. Tickets are $35 per person in advance and $45 per person at the door for the auditorium. UAA student admission tickets are available as well. UAA student admission tickets cost $15 per person in advance and $20 per person at the door.
