Sublime with Rome to perform in Alaska

June 5, 2012 by

On Saturday, June 9, Sublime with Rome will be performing at Chilkoot Charlie’s located at 2435 Spenard Road in Anchorage, Alaska. This performance will begin at 5:00 pm.

The performance is being presented by KZND and is an outdoor event, whether rain or shine, and the event is sponsored by Hotel Captain Cook, Aaa Fence, United Rentals, Avis Rent a Car, and many others. Doors open at 5:00 pm with the opening band, which is yet to be announced. Sublime with Rome’s performance will begin at approximately 5:45 pm.

The group, who serve out a mixture of ska, rock, punk, and reggae, has seen the death of frontman Bradley Nowell, which brought an end to the original group called Sublime. However, the surviving members Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh created the Long Beach Dub All-Stars, before they returned with a new line up named “Sublime with Rome” in 2009. This new group has become very popular with all audiences and has seen the addition of Rome on vocals and guitar, Josh Freese on drums, and Dj Rocky Rock as Dj. This group has a very wide variety of music, so guests are in for a great time. Flyer printing and poster printing may have been designed by local print companies to promote the event.

Tickets cost $35 per person and guests are reminded that is an outdoor event and to dress appropriately. Sunglasses and sunscreen may be required. For additional information about Sublime with Rome’s performance, please visit Chilkoot Charlie’s website or call 907-279-1692.
