Rock of Ages – a performance to be remembered

May 12, 2012 by

From Thursday, May 17th until Wednesday, May 23rd, the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts will be featuring “Rock of Ages” at their location at 621 W. Sixth Avenue in Anchorage, Alaska. Performances will begin at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm, except on May 18th, 19th, and 20th when they will commence at 8:00 pm.

This event is reminiscent of 1987’s Sunset Strip, from an era when many believed life was easier and youths enjoyed true rock music. Through the period music, this event tells the story about a small-town girl who is visiting Los Angeles’ most famous rock nightclub, where she happens to meet a big-city rocker and then falls in love. Guests will relive the greatest songs from the 1980s through the performance of this five-time Tony nominated play. Guests will enjoy musical scores from REO, Styx, Twisted Sister, Speedwagon, Poison, Pat Benatar, Whitesnake, Asia, and many others. The moving and dramatic love story will be told through this mind-blasting rock journey of a sensational 1980s hit parade. Guests will enjoy a toe-tapping, finger-snapping, rocking-good time with memories that will live on forever.

Brochure printing was probably prepared by local print companies to help promote this exciting event. Tickets range from $35 per person to $70 per person, depending on the seat selection. Bus and motorcoach parking is available for groups attending this event.
